Blueprint Cleanse homemade - updated!

Update on my homemade Blueprint Cleanse:

Starting weight
4/29 - 137.8

Today's weight
5/3 - 129.8

Net loss
8 pounds!   Wooo Hoo!

I ran out of juice on Tuesday and was still inspired to keep up with the cleanse so I made three more days worth of juice!   I also thought it would be great to use reusable glass jars instead of wasting plastic bottles on each batch.  Aren't they just too cute?

I will admit - I cheated!  But only slightly.  Any website that talks about juice cleanses will explain the importance of using colonics while juicing.  Well let's just say that's not going to happen.  So I did my own version - Twizzlers.  For whatever reason, they always do the trick for me.  So on Tuesday night I had two (and tonight I just had 6!)

I also had a work lunch Tuesday and today so I had a salad both days and just cut out the green juice for the day and made sure my calories were still in check (they were).

I still have two more days of juice to finish so I will complete those and then move on to eating "clean" and mostly fruits and veggies for a week.  I have some travel in the middle of the week so that inhibits my juice plan a bit.  It also forces me to take a break from the juice.  It is addicting to feel this good and lose this much in 5 days!

  1. I have no idea how I came across your blog but I LOVE IT. Thank you for all of the amazing information about BPC. I'm super excited that I'll be starting it next weekend and the fact that you wrote about how you weren't having hungry pains and didn't cheat gives me hope that I can do the same. I love juicing and I think this will be very beneficial to me. I'm hanging onto 20 lbs of baby weight even 2 yrs later after eating better, exercising and trying every dang diet program and pill out there. Even Calcium Pyruvate and B12 injections DO NOT HELP me. I'm STUCK. With our without weight loss from the BPC, I'm SURE I will feel great. I can't wait to do it. I'm thinking I will do one every two hours and in between the juices, drink 2 bottles of water in between. How much water are you drinking per day?

    1. Thanks Sarah! Please keep me posted on how you are doing! I would love to hear someone else's perspective on this cleanse. Like you - I have tried every diet! This one and the GM diet I talk about a few posts back seem to be the quickest and easiest for me to see results and stick with! Weight Watchers also worked for me right after I had my son but since they revamped it I haven't had any luck.

To answer your question about water, I am probably drinking between 60-80 oz per day. I have the first juice at 7am, a green tea when I get to work at 8am, 2nd juice at 9:30 - water - 3rd juice at noon - water - 4th juice at 3pm - water, water, water and somewhere around 6pm I have the last green juice. I've been trying to drink the cashew milk before 8pm so I can really have an empty stomach when I sleep.

My only warning - that I need to add in here - is that on day #3 of both this round and when I bought the juices my mood is terrible! Full on crazy person. But then it goes away! :)

Good luck! Keep me posted please!

  2. I am starting the blueprint foundation cleanse in 2 days and I am so excited! I bought one of the green juices at whole foods today to try it, and it really wasn't bad at all, but the price is a bit hefty. When you bought your produce for the cleanse at such low cost, was it all organic? I have a juicer and a blender, so I think I am going to go with the DIY route as well. Your shopping list is exactly what I needed! Thank you!
